This Policy describes what data we collect, what we use it for, who we share it with and how we protect it. By using the Service you confirm that you've read this Policy and agree to the processing of your data as described.
Registration data: • first name, last name, email, phone, date of birth.
Primary driver data (at booking): • full name, date of birth, phone, email.
Payment data: • amount and currency, card type, last 4 digits, payment status. Full card details are not stored on RentoRika servers — they're processed directly by the payment provider under PCI DSS.
Usage data: • search and booking history, route preferences, reviews, support correspondence.
Technical data: • IP address, device and browser type, operating system, country/region by IP, referrer, cookie IDs, visit time.
We do not request scans of your passport or driving license. You present those directly to the Supplier at pickup.
• Booking processing and support: sharing data with the Supplier, issuing vouchers, status notifications. • Identity and fraud prevention: email and payment verification. • User support: replies and dispute resolution. • Service improvement: behaviour analytics for fixing issues and UX. • Marketing communication: only with your explicit consent. You can unsubscribe in one click from any email. • Legal compliance: tax, anti-fraud and payment-system rules.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not pass it on to ad networks for arbitrary targeting.
Supplier partners: get the minimum needed to fulfil the booking — primary driver name, date of birth (age check), phone, email, booking code, rental dates and terms.
Payment provider: processes online payment under PCI DSS. Card details are handled on the provider's side; RentoRika receives only a payment token and status.
Infrastructure contractors: hosting provider, transactional email provider. Access is role-restricted and governed by confidentiality clauses.
Government authorities: data may be disclosed under an official and justified request within the law of the operator's country.
No other third parties receive the data.
We use cookies and similar technologies:
• Essential — for session, authentication and booking cart. They can't be disabled or the Service won't work. • Analytics — for traffic counting and bug fixing (e.g. Yandex Metrica / Google Analytics). Data is aggregated and does not allow individual identification. • Marketing — set only with your explicit consent, used to measure ad performance.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Some Service features may stop working correctly.
• Booking and related financial documents are kept for the period required by accounting law (typically up to 5 years). • Account data is kept while the account is active. • Marketing consent is kept until withdrawn. • Technical logs are kept no more than 90 days.
Upon request the account and related personal data are deleted within 30 days, except data we are required to retain by law (e.g. completed payments).
You have the right to:
• Get a copy of your personal data we process. • Request correction of inaccurate or outdated data. • Request deletion of your account and related data (subject to section 6). • Withdraw marketing consent. • Object to processing where applicable by law.
To exercise any right write to privacy@rentorika.com. We respond within 30 days.
To protect your data we use:
• HTTPS / TLS to encrypt all connections between your browser and our servers. • Cryptographic password hashes. The password itself isn't stored and can't be recovered — only reset. • Role-based access: staff access personal data only to the extent needed for their duties. • Regular dependency and infrastructure updates to fix known vulnerabilities.
If you discover a potential vulnerability please report it to security@rentorika.com. We review reports as soon as possible.
The Service is for adult users. Most Suppliers require a minimum driver age of 21. We don't intentionally collect minors' data. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data please write to privacy@rentorika.com — we'll delete it.
We may update this Policy. The current version is always available at rentorika.com/privacy. Registered users are notified of material changes by email at least 14 days before changes take effect.
