How does the booking work?

Choose city, dates and car on rentorika.com. Fill in driver details and pay the deposit online by card — it reserves the car and protects the supplier from no-shows. Pay the balance to the supplier at pickup in cash or by card.

How long does confirmation take?

Most bookings are confirmed automatically within minutes of deposit payment. A voucher with the booking code and supplier contacts arrives in your email immediately after confirmation.

Can I book a car for one day?

Minimum rental period depends on the supplier, usually 2–3 days. The exact minimum is shown on each car card. For short rentals use the 'no minimum' filter.

How do I change or cancel a booking?

Open 'My bookings' in your account. Date changes are possible with supplier approval. Cancellation terms and full refund deadlines are shown on the car card before payment.

Which payment methods are accepted?

Only the deposit is paid online. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, local Maestro cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay. The balance is paid to the supplier on-site — in cash (EUR, USD, local currency) or by card via the supplier's terminal.

What currency are prices shown in?

Site prices are in EUR or USD depending on the region. The total you pay is what you see on the card. Conversion to your card's currency is done automatically by your bank at the day's rate.

Is payment on RentoRika safe?

All online payments go through a PCI DSS Level 1 certified provider. Card details aren't stored on our servers. The connection uses TLS 1.3 — the same standard banks use.

What is the deposit and how is it returned?

The deposit is an amount you leave with the supplier at pickup as security. It's fully refunded after you return the car undamaged. Amount and method are shown on each car card — often a card hold rather than an actual charge.

Will I get the exact car I booked?

Yes. It's a core RentoRika principle — you see the exact car with real photos, VIN and tech specs. A replacement only happens with your written consent (e.g. if the previous rental hasn't returned the car).

Is insurance included in the price?

Basic CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) is included in the price for most suppliers — shown on the car card. Full CASCO (Super CDW) and extras can be added at checkout for extra fee. Insurance terms are transparent before payment.

Can I rent a car for cross-border travel?

Yes, many suppliers allow cross-border travel. Each car card lists countries you can drive to. Some routes need extra insurance — added with one click.

What if the car breaks down?

Contact the supplier immediately — contacts are in the voucher. The supplier must arrange repair, replacement or towing. If they don't respond or help — email support@rentorika.com, we'll escalate and ensure resolution.

What documents do I need to rent?

Passport, valid driver's license (national accepted in most countries), credit card in the driver's name for the deposit hold. All documents are shown to the supplier at pickup.

What is the minimum rental age?

Standard minimum is 21 years and 1–2 years driving experience. Premium and SUV classes require 23–25 years and 3+ years experience. Exact conditions are on each car card before payment.

Do I need an International Driving Permit (IDP)?

For short rentals in most European and CIS countries a national license is accepted. For UAE, Turkey, Thailand, Southeast Asia and some others an IDP is recommended — issued by your DMV in a few days. Country-specific requirements are on each car card.

How do I list my car on RentoRika?

Supplier registration is free. After signup you add cars with photos, price and pickup points. After short moderation (1–2 business days) cars appear in search. No subscription fees or sales commissions.

What is RentoRika's commission?

We charge no commission or subscription from suppliers. Listing is free. Our model is a 20% markup over your price to the end customer. E.g. you set €100/day → customer sees €120 → you get the full €100 at pickup, in cash or by card.

How and when do I get paid?

You receive payment directly from the customer at pickup — in cash or by card via your terminal. RentoRika doesn't withhold or pay you anything because our markup is separate from your price. No payout delays, no currency conversions.

Why is an online deposit needed?

The online deposit is part of our markup. It guarantees the supplier that the customer will show up (no-show protection) and the customer that price and terms are locked. It's unrelated to your rental price.

What is the cancellation limit?

Suppliers may cancel up to 3 confirmed bookings per month. Beyond the limit cars are temporarily hidden from search until the next month. This protects travelers from unreliable partners.
