These terms describe the rules of use of the RentoRika service (the "Platform", website rentorika.com) operated by Rentorika LLC. This document is a public offer. By registering on the Platform or placing a booking, you confirm that you have read and accepted these terms.
"Platform" / "Service" / "RentoRika" — the website rentorika.com and related software.
"User" / "Renter" — an individual using the Service to search and book a car rental.
"Supplier" / "Partner" — a legal entity or individual providing car rental services in a destination country, listed on the Platform via partner network integration.
"Booking" — a user's request to rent a specific car for selected dates, placed through the Platform.
"Voucher" — an electronic document confirming the booking. Sent to the user's email after deposit payment.
RentoRika is a technology platform that enables search, comparison and online booking of car rentals from local Suppliers. RentoRika does not own a fleet and does not provide the rental service itself.
The rental agreement is signed directly between the Renter and the Supplier at pickup. Rental conditions, insurance, deposit, driver requirements and return procedure are set by the Supplier and shown on the car card before booking.
The Platform acts as a mediator in disputes: assists with communication, escalates complaints to the Partner and refunds the deposit in case of confirmed Supplier breach.
Booking can be made with or without registration. When booking without registration the Platform automatically creates an account at the email provided so the user can access the voucher and booking history.
Upon registration the user undertakes to provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
One person may have one primary account. The user is responsible for password security and all actions performed using their account.
The rental price is shown on the car card. The price includes base rental, mandatory insurance and required fees. Add-ons (child seat, GPS, additional driver, after-hours delivery) are priced separately and shown clearly at checkout.
To confirm a booking the user pays an online prepayment — usually 15% of the rental price. The exact percentage may vary by Supplier and is always shown before booking confirmation.
The rental balance is paid directly to the Supplier at pickup. Payment method (cash, card) is determined by the Supplier.
In addition to the rental price, at pickup the Supplier holds a refundable deposit on the renter's card. Deposit amount is shown on the car card and refunded after the car is returned without breaches or damage.
After deposit payment the Platform forwards the request to the Supplier. The Supplier typically confirms within 1 hour during business hours.
If confirmation isn't received within 24 hours, the Platform automatically refunds the deposit and offers alternatives.
Cancellation rules are set by the Supplier and shown on the car card before booking. Standard rules.
• Cancellation 48+ hours before pickup — full refund. • Cancellation less than 48 hours before pickup — up to 100% deposit retained (exact percentage on the card). • No-show at pickup point — no refund.
If the Supplier cancels a confirmed booking (e.g. due to breakdown), the deposit is fully refunded and the Platform offers alternatives, with compensation when possible.
Refunds are issued within 5–10 business days to the original card.
Minimum age and driving experience, accepted documents (national or international driving permit, passport) are shown on each car card and may vary by country and Supplier.
The user must come to pickup with original documents. In case of non-compliance the Supplier may refuse to hand over the car. In that case the deposit is not refunded as it's a user breach.
Mileage terms (daily allowance and over-limit cost), fuel level at pickup and return, and return time and place are fixed in the agreement with the Supplier at pickup.
At return the Supplier inspects the car. If damage not noted at pickup is found, the Supplier deducts the corresponding amount from the deposit per the pricelist.
RentoRika is not liable for: technical condition of the car, Supplier actions, traffic incidents, traffic violations and any risks directly related to using the rented car.
RentoRika is liable for the correct display of rental conditions on the car card at the time of booking, the security of payment transactions on the Platform and the deposit refund in case of confirmed Supplier breach.
Platform's liability towards the user is limited to the actual deposit paid for the specific booking.
In case of a dispute the user should:
1) try to resolve it directly with the Supplier using contacts from the voucher; 2) if not resolved — contact RentoRika support at support@rentorika.com with a description and booking code; 3) provide supporting documents (photos, chat history, receipts) on request.
We review requests within 3 business days and accompany the dialogue with the Supplier through to its end.
Users may not: use the Platform for unlawful purposes, post knowingly false information, attempt to bypass security, register accounts on behalf of third parties without consent, use other users' data, scrape or automate data collection for commercial use without written RentoRika consent.
Violation grants the Platform the right to block the account and refuse service without refunds for ongoing bookings.
All Platform materials — texts, images, logos, design, source code — are owned by RentoRika or used under license. Use outside the Platform requires written permission from the rightsholder.
RentoRika reserves the right to amend these terms. The current version is always available at rentorika.com/terms. Registered users are notified of material changes by email at least 14 days before changes take effect.
Continued use of the Platform after publication of new terms constitutes acceptance.
These terms are governed by the law of the country where the Platform operator (Rentorika LLC) is registered. Disputes not resolved through the claims procedure go to the court at the operator's location.
